Are infant Motrin and children’s Motrin the same concentration?
No. The US Infants’ Motrin concentrated drops and Children’s Motrin oral suspension compared here have different concentrations. Do not reuse a liquid amount from one bottle for the other.
Two bottles, two strengths
Infants’ Motrin concentrated drops list ibuprofen 50 mg per 1.25 mL. Children’s Motrin oral suspension lists ibuprofen 100 mg per 5 mL. The ingredient is the same, but the infant drops contain more ibuprofen in each mL. Bottle color or the brand name alone cannot identify the strength.
