# How do I measure children’s liquid medicine with the supplied syringe or cup?

Use the measuring device supplied with the medicine and match its units to the label’s liquid amount. Check the bottle and directions before measuring. A household spoon is not a reliable medicine-measuring device.

## Read the units and markings

The bottle’s concentration may be written in mg per mL, while a liquid amount is measured in mL. Locate the required mL marking on the supplied device. If the markings are unclear, the required amount does not match a marking, or the device is missing, ask a pharmacist for help rather than estimating.
