## Children’s ibuprofen dosage by weight or age

Choose the Children’s or Infants’ Motrin bottle and match its concentration. These are separate bottle options in the calculator. Directions for one concentration must not be reused for another.

## Can I switch between Children’s and Infants’ Motrin?

Changing the bottle clears the previous confirmation and range. Confirm the new concentration and choose the appropriate weight or age range again before viewing directions.

## Are Infants’ and Children’s Motrin the same strength?

The US bottles shown here have different strengths: Infants’ Motrin is 50 mg per 1.25 mL; Children’s Motrin is 100 mg per 5 mL. Match the full concentration on your bottle before using its chart. Do not reuse the same liquid amount for a different strength.

## Is this a pediatric ibuprofen mg/kg calculator?

No. KinToolkit looks up the printed label’s weight bands in pounds or its age bands. It does not calculate a continuous mg/kg dose, round a weight into a band, or convert between bottle strengths. If your child falls outside the listed bands, ask a pharmacist or clinician.
